Otago Southland Chapter of TOMCC NZ.
A ride and overnighter is planned for Labour weekend 23 – 25 Oct 2021.
We are going into the Haast Area as we did in 2014 in a light-hearted search for Te Hokioi – the Haast Eagle.
Saturday 23rd Oct for those that are coming from different directions it is intended that we meet at the Luggate hotel at 2pm then heading as a group onto Makoaroa for the night.
Sunday 24th Oct we head off into the Haast in search and onward to Jackson Bay hopefully for lunch at the Cray Pot who have confirmed they will be open over the weekend (subject to covid restrictions ). Staying Sunday night back in Haast.
Monday heading back as a group to Wanaka / Cromwell then members dispersing in different directions to where they live.
Accommodation is for you to arrange at both Makoaroa and Haast.
